Ok, decision has been made. Gone for a 3.6 in Buckingham Blue, but neither of the ones I posted links for earlier!

Test drove the 3.6 and was amazed at the grunt it had. Didn't do it back to back with a 4.4, so can't really judge the difference, but certainly enough poke for now.

Picking it up on Friday.

Not great ones, as the iPhone was getting steamed up due to the peeing rain!

It is my own fault for resigning from a well paying job and not getting the MM2H visa in place before that Sad Should have resigned AFTER the MM2H was granted.

Anyway, we may be staying here a bit longer so time to do the visa and import permit soon Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

As I'm working out where to go next, this is a very interesting thread.

I'm pretty much decided I want the Tft instruments so would be a 2010 MY which means about £22k upwards for the 3.6. Can't help thinking I'd be better saving another 5k or so and getting the 4.4. Would be quite a good step up from my td6....

I know that the cooled seats seem to be worth getting, but being a music lover, I see a 1200 watt hifi was an option. Is there an easy way to tell if one has it fitted - from pics ?

I'm figuring the 4.4 tdv8 will depreciate more than my td6 over a given period, so price to swap should only reduce.......

Or go off piste altogether and get an RS4 or an RS6, but then I'd look up at someone in an rr....... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Get an SC to get you by for another year or two and hen get a 4.4 when the prices soften even more as more 405's come on the market Smile why lose £20k that quickly in such a short period of time or just for a few upgrades when you are happy with what you have? Better the devil you know or with the SC a new devil but cheaper and less of a hit come resale Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Still keep having he same man maths argument in my head.

Upgrade to a 4.4, drop £20k into one to change. Then watch it lose £10k in 2 years....... But get a bullet proof cast iron LR warranty, new tyres, and updated kit.

Or keep the 3.6, will definitely need new tyres soon, will the engine go bang.... (Probably not, touch wood), shall I send it to uncle Craig for a facelift? Try and get a major components warranty...... But it is getting older....... Still Looks good when shined up!

Descisions......

Or I could get the 4.4 vogue in Firenze red that hunters have in at the moment and stop procrastinating! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Keep the 3.6, get a warranty for the big bits, drop some money on tyres and do the services at half the normal interval and spend some money on a good detail and the car will be like new anyway Wink

A 4.4 doesn't necessarily come with new tyres, just ones with decent tread on and may not be premium/decent tyres anyway... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I PX'd my '07 3.6 for a 4.4 L405 for similar reasons, it was starting to have issues & I wanted rid of the hassle - a 130k miler & I was starting to worry about some big bills.

Owning a FFRR will never make economic sense - I just had to go with my heart Thumbs Up
