Then there is the deviousness, Tony Blair moved English territorial waters in 1999 from the level of Berwick up to Aberdeen! To try hold onto oil rights, I hope that gets renegotiated under independence. He actually took the waters up Scotland's east coast for England, what other country does not own parts of the water off its own shore? 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

Anyone who has allowed themselves to be convinced that Scotland is somehow subsidising the rest of the UK needs to check into a psychiatric clinic.

No doubt we'll hear about how England has stolen Scotland's oil, Scotland will be a petro-superpower wealthier than Norway with oil, oil is why Westminster is terrified - again, look at the numbers. Every penny of oil revenue couldn't save an independent Scotland.

I need a clinic now? Laughing sadly that's what your point seems to turn to when you get a response you disagree with, insults, hardly a reasoned response. I think you and I should not discuss politics further because you can't do it without getting personal, I have looked at the numbers, not just either of the two referendum parties numbers either.

Scotland pays in more than it gets back for itself under Barnett. 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

Search Google, 1999 for changes in territorial waters in the UK. Then ask yourself why that needed to happen? don't tell me because I already understand it. Not the oil just the water it was found in. 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

Where to start?

The pretend gigantic Clair oil find? The reason why Cameron went on a "secret" visit (with the world's press in tow)? The one "they" want to keep quiet until after the vote (despite any finds made prior to a separation being subject to negotiation, those found after solely being the successor state's).

Fantasy land, just like the SNP's campaign.

Yes young shipbuilders have concerns, the world is full of uncertainty, either way. However a fact The new owner of Fergussons has already now employed more than those who lost jobs and is injecting massive capital into rejuvenation ship building. He's no idiot and not the kind to just throw his money off a cliff.

Ah yes, the Easdales, an outstanding example of Scottish business ethics!

I haven't directed any insults to anyone individually, but I will say that if you are able to make the numbers add up in Scotland's favour you're either looking at the wrong numbers or you need a new calculator.

Public spending per capita is £1200-1600 higher p.a. than the average UK citizen. That is a fact. The SNP's figures (the 9.9% tax /9.3% spending nonsense) assume the receipt of full geographic oil revenues based on the one single year in recent history where that income would have produced a surplus.

The SNP make things up, the separatists make themselves believe it.

Trommel, I was going to answer the Barnett formula question but a short and concise answer has already been put above. As for SNP lies, that's hilarious, what about Westminster lies?

Child sex scandals where they magically lose dossiers
Briefing banks before releases
Huge expenses bills that are now greater than before the scandal, yet a 9% pay rise to cover what they lost in expenses?

Westminster have lied and misled information throughout, ASDA are talking to their lawyers re the impact of better together misquoting them, Tesco said they suspect a lot of prices would go down, Morrisons say they could go down, up or stay the same, aldi and lidl operate in international markets with no issues, a major wholesaler has said its utter nonsense but Westminster said - the price of your groceries and shopping WILL go up.

Trident is good for Scotland but apparently not good for south of England as bosses say an accident could kill a lot of people, it ok next to Glasgow then?

There are huge oil reserves just off the west coast which were agreed not to be drilled because of trident, the Shetland oil field is believed to have more oil in it than has been extracted from the north sea to date. Oil WILL run out but the reason Westminster is so desperate is that it wants the money until it does, much like in the middle east.

If there was an issue with Trident or Coulport, the last thing we would be thinking about is a bloody yes/no vote, the whole island and most of western Europe would be gone, so IMHO not an valid point Thumbs Up

Search Google, Article 15 of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea ("UNCLOS"). But, of course, you already understand it.

The biggest issue with trident is what a huge waste of money it is, modern warfare and indeed what various PM's call war or to make it nicer conflict has changed.

Your average terrorist doesn't care if you have trident and to be honest they just attack with weapons we or allies actually gave them to start with. You think IS and their horrendous campaign will illicit a nuclear reaction, what do you think will?

Westminster can't fight IS due to concerns about public backlash of another war in foreign lands what makes you think they could ever consider a nuclear strike and if they did who cares who has them we'd all be Censored 'd. 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

The West's Nuclear Weapons are the reason Russia does not simply invade several Eastern Europe countries and keeps China in check.

They are deterrent only and dam good one at that. Check out the lack of world wars since their invention....
