You haven't seen my driving.

I think the polite word is sedate. Laughing
Hence I was more than happy with the TD6. (and actuallty, I still am. May keep it)

so in theory when the lights comes on you got about 8 litres of fuel left ..on fox's mpg that will be about 56 miles...

Probably, I think about 50 miles on the petrol light is the norm, every other car I've had has said roughly the same. 2006 Mercedes CLS

Sounds about right. Normally have between 55 and 65 miles on the range when the light goes on. Then a bong sounds at 30 to go.

Then the sat-nav tells you that you don't have enough fuel and to get some quick! Laughing (if you are using it, of course)

To be honest, I don't take much notice of fuel lights and range etc, not when the fuel light on my van only comes on when the gauge goes off the scale like this...

Even with the light on, I drove for 30 miles without running out, then again, the van has French origins so who knows how accurate the gauges are! 2006 Mercedes CLS

I have been collecting Air Miles on from SHELL in recent months - regulary filling up my FFRR with their VPower Diesel when its available & collecting the points whenever I have to refuel the work vans also...

Would have thought I'd have earned enough to recommission a Concorde by now Whistle

... turns out I have only earned 94 Air Miles Rolling Eyes
(waste of bloody time - wouldn't be enough to fly from Gatwick to above my house and back!)

I wish we could collect shell points as a business, we spend about 5k a week there. Sad
Not much compared to haulage companies, but still a fair amount.
