Now I know I am going to get flamed but and this is just a personal opinion and not meant to offend in any way , I don't get facelifts , never have , even when I had an e39 M5 , there were all these guys spending thousands trying to make there basic M series look like an M5 , just don't get it

I think it's a cracking looking car, and as someone has gone to the time and great expense on the conversion you should keep it, it looks great!

Personally I think it looks fine with the steps and flaps, they are at least genuine items rather than after market.

As mentioned, a Titanium tailgate strip and black LR badge is the simplest and cheapest way to finish the look, nice looking Style 11 alloys too.

Agree, I think they look 'out' more, perhaps spaces in there, I don't think the RR needs them, would be a good idea to take one off and also check the alloys are genuine, loads of copies out there that aren't up to the job. Last thing you want is a wheel go bang, end up in a ditch, and then your car on fire...  Discovery 4 HSE

I don't think you have spacers - the reason they look further out is because you have GG AT tyres in 275 profile and they have a very square shoulder. The std road tyres are 255 with usually a more rounded profile. Pretty sure yours doesn't have spacers as I have the same tyres and it looks the same.

RRUK is also correct there are loads of fake RR style 11 wheels with less offset - making them stick out more

Best to keep the car how you want the car, I am not one to pander to opinion, and there is no point owning a car to keep others happy when its you who should be happy with it.

I think the car looks great and if your happy with a facelift then stick with it. If you prefer the pre-facelift original look then I am sure you will have no issues getting a stack of offers to swap parts etc. Only thing I will say is if you go back to original look then the car will most likely be worth less on resale, so keep that in mind.

As for steps again its down to you, and they do look like original steps which is good. Personally I don't think most people fit steps to improve the look of the car. Steps are normally fitted as a practical measure, and after watching my kids fall out of my FF a few times I can definitely see the need for steps. I also think the steps make access to the car much easier for others in general.

I totally agree with Prop, you should keep / modify your car in a way you and only you like it. What the rest of us thinks about that shouldn't make a difference.

I like the "natural/original" look but wouldn't remove the mudflaps (on mine nor yours) nor the side steps (on yours). The car looks great like this and would look great without the flaps/steps as well.

No Black badge for 2012 look. Delete re LR badge altogether

The more I look at the pictures, the more the front end is growing on me - I think I'll probably leave it as it is. It's certainly been done to a high standard with all genuine parts used.

The tyres on the wheels I believe were wider then they should have been but it needs the rear brake pad wear sensors replacing when I get it anyway so I'll have a quick peek at the wheels and make sure they've genuine.

I must admit I do quite fancy changing them for the same wheels that are on our TDV8 but that then takes away the genuine look I guess...

For the back box, I rubbed down / cleaned with fine wire wool and All Purpose Cleaner, wiped off with white spirit and sprayed two costs with satin black fireplace paint. Si. <This is my name.

If you want your original SC tread plates refurbing, I highly reccomend Badger Anodizing in Birmingham. They fully refurb'd our 4 for £80 cash and the service, quality and durability of the work is brilliant. It cost me £26 to post them for guaranteed next day delivery, insuring them up to £500 (new ones are over £400). Badger didn't even charge me for the couriered return delivery of the refurb'd plates back to us.
