FF v Terraced house

I decided to go for the latter. Brings in a nice steady income, and will hopefully appreciate over the years.

What will the £100k FF be worth in 20 years ?

Also bought a ML55 for £3k, so at least still drive something a bit 'different'

following on from my post on the 17th july..
my car had to be taken in by LR for some warranty work.
i got a 6 week old L405 4.4 Td VSE.
i am going to have to retract my support for the new FF.
i now understand what the L405 owners are shouting about the suspension knock.
this is no joke. it sounds as if the suspension is worn and the bushes need replacing.
the infotainment system is a PITA. and outdated.
the more i look at the L405 the more i feel that the car was cobbled together over a couple of pints.
there is NO way i could justify paying for a new FF.
i know that in the next year or two i will have to get one one these ( as there is IMO there is no alternative to a FF, possibly BMW may make a proper 4x4).
but i am not relishing the prospect of 'trading up"

Shocked

Guys - interesting stuff here...I had a chat with a client of ours who runs a L405. He's not too happy either and as a result has ordered a Discovery HSE Luxury.....not good reading but does stack the argument in the favour of remaining the LR badge but with another range. Sorry to hear your issues as the 405 is still a nice looking car...but my original statement stands...£100k Shocked

I think it was our German friend who said a late L322 S/C and something fast with the change.. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I think it is a great car - better than my L322 in most tangible respects (the main downside is the smaller boot).

Is it worth the money? Versus a house in Barnsley? Well I can't drive the house in Barnsley to the top of a moor with my guns and dog in the back. For doing that, only a Full Fat will do. So no choice really.

there is no doubt that the L405 is a nice car.
for me there is not that much of a jump from MY2011 to L405.
having had a faultless Cayenne turbo, merc SL from new i would be gutted to spend that kind of money for a rattling FF.
there is no alternative to a FF and i am concerned that when its my turn to get a L405 the suspension knocking will irritate me to distraction. 2011 4.4 TdV8 Nara Bronze

Remember, the L322 also had some teething troubles too. However, JLR needs to get them sorted PROMPTLY, especially on a £100K car.
