Wind noise at drivers side only

Has anybody noted higher wind noise sounding through at 60mph+? I suspect it is down to the trim which runs along the car just under the windows. The rear section seems to be opening up from the car to be in the airflow by 4mm. Is that enough to make the noise?
Dealer is fixing it anyway. 2010 TDV8 Zermat Silver with dirty streaks

Hi Scanner

The plastic scuttle at the bottom of the windscreen where the wiper shafts protrude can become warped and cause some noise in the cabin.

I've noticed a small but mildly irritating wind noise at speed. I guess it's partly down to the car being so quiet?

Yes, have the same issue at speeds around 70.

Depending upon road surface, it varies from barely audible to extreme. (Rough road = extreme roar.)

It's as if the driver's door frame surround flexes. In fact as you run your fingers along the top door seal the gap can be felt.

The seal is a poor fit and replacing with same makes no difference. Solution seems to be removing seal and hammering the frame lip inwards. This reduces the gap and so the seal then does its job.

Should have had decent quality seal in first place. Not impressed.

There's a software fix for it. The electric window motor reduces it's torque in the final bit of travel - too much it seems! The software update fixes this - mines just been done. before I got round to having it fettled, a couple of pulls on the close button did the same thing - almost became second nature!

Messing with the trim or bending anything isn't fixing the underlying issue although it does seem more like proper fixing than resorting to a laptop Smile

Cheers,

H
