Wiper blades falling to bits

Anyone else had issues with front wiper blades disintegrating?

Oddly, both my fronts fell apart on the same day at only a year old and 20k miles. Appreciate wipers should be replaced after a year anyway but never had them fail together and so quickly on any other car.

Now here's the extra weird thing; replaced them both with factory replacements and two weeks later the passenger side has fallen apart again! Big Cry

Bad batch or is my car being subject to some weird localised acid rain?!

Car is either parked in a secure pound or up a long driveway so vandalism can be ruled out.

There's no evidence of the blades catching on anything so I'm a bit puzzled but I'm sure the dealer will try and fob me off as 'wear and tear' even after 2 weeks. '14.5 SDV8 Nara Bronze for sale

I've read somewhere that RR use to perform an hydrophobic treatment (nanotechnology?), perhaps it could affect the blades if not properly treated.

Just an idea.

Any jackdaws or squirrels about perhaps?

What failed, just the rubber?

If it's only the rubber, then avoid the bird feeders for a while. Smile
