PDC - Ahhhhh more problems

Has anyone had problems with their Park Distance Control going wrong.

Mine has just started - it gives a long beep , then the light flashes constantly - the book says its kaput - any easy fixes? or has it got to go in under warranty.

I had that too! one of the sensors was US, simple change of unit but the problem is they have to be colour coded... sorted under warranty though

Mine some times give up and then come back after a re-boot seems to be if you select reverse too soon after starting the engine. Once happened after heavy rain as well but al is OK now. 2008 MY Supercharged

When a sensor goes wrong the system gives an auditory beep to alert the driver. Simple way to check is to switch ignition on, put sensors on and get someone to put a hand in front of each sensor at a time, then you'll know which one is duff.

Use warranty to replace, you can try and prepare them by telling them you have a duff sensor and what colour is required when your car goes in to prevent 2 visits.... Evil or Very Mad Discovery 4 HSE

Axle - yes you are very correct - putting it into reverse as soon as you start up has caused quite a few issues - one in particular was the suspension problem i had on Wednesday where the ride height was set on access mode.

I suppose more haste less speed.

Plus the damn PDC seems to be working ok this afternoon!

Still... lovely motor tho!
