Rear View Camera

I have been looking through the threads and based on what I have read I think I have a CMOS camera which is the worst quality and only works part of the time.

If I have understood correctly if I upgrade to the 2010 HD/Hi Res camera I need to cut and join wires and move the camera mounting point so more than I would wan to do.

It appears that there is an in between option of a CCD camera which has a slightly better picture (probably acceptable as I only want to see what is behind me to check for low walls etc...

I have counted out aftermarket although possibly cheaper as I would prefer to keep near OEM and not hack wires etc...

Question is the CCD a straight swop for the CMOS, i.e. same connectors and mound and if so where can I get one and the rough price. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Thanks Stan, had seen that and a couple of others but they involve after market cameras and / or having to cut in to the wiring. I don't need HD quality, just a clear image of what's behind and out of view of the mirror. I am looking for as simple as possible or I will have to pay someone to fit and risk other electric problems. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
