Remove both side heater vents (fiddly to do) by using something long and thin to pull the four retaining clips inwards and pull the vent out.
Pop off both outer end plates (the plastic but that fits up against the door when its closed) and remove all of the the torx 20 screws (5 each side i think). Remove passenger side cup holder. Both vent surround (wood in most cases) can now be removed (they are a tight fit and may need persuading).
Remove both torx 20 screws from either side of dash board top (these were hidden by the vent surrounds) and then the remaining 8 (i think) larger torx crews that are visible on top of the dash.
Gently prize off the centre speaker grille (use a flat blade screw driver gently along the edge that is closest to the front seats. Once removed unscrew the 2 torx 20 screws either side of the speaker.
Sharply pull the dash top towards you and lift off. Before removing completely disconnect the centre speaker.
From then on you will have access to the top and rear of the instrument cluster. I have never removed to cluster and can only assume that you can access all you need from this angle.
Hope this helps you out
