New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green
Moving it

I would like some advice from you lot. The FFRR is going into a container soon to ship it first to Holland and then to Malaysia (I'm starting a new job in Singapore, actually I'm in Singapore now).

Anyway, the FFRR will go in, suspension in access mode and strong straps to tie it down. Battery will be be disconnected.

In Holland it will be taken out after some 6 weeks or more depending on date of departure. It will be be sitting on there for maybe months before it will be running again. What should I do to minimise any "issues". MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

It will be outside in Holland unless there is enough space inside the storage building. They can run the engine but not drive it. Due to Dutch tax rules it it can't be driven by a Dutch resident. I can drive it in Holland because I am no resident anymore though still have a Dutch passport. Has to do with taxes taxes mainly.

Love Singapore, clean, warm, easy. Busy though and that takes a bit of of getting used to. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I'm not importing it into Singapore. I can't due to it being LHD and way too expensive anyway. I can import it into Malaysia on the MM2H visa and that is taxfree import. Also that way I can drive on cheap Malaysian petrol. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I'm thinking of stopping there for weekends either side of a couple of weeks in Southern Thailand. Never been there before.

Well enjoy the Thailand trip, if you like scuba diving, Koh Tao is a good choice. If you touch down here let me know maybe we can catch up. Singapore is a great place for nice food, many many many restaurants. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Australia 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Rimini Red

When I shipped mine I used my IID tool to lock it in build mode and that stopped the suspension from dropping and letting the whole thing bash about in the container . 2008 MY Supercharged

four zone climate
remote park heater
and no ugly kid windows.

Thanks Axle, good tip. I can use the Faultmate and do that as well (It's called transport mode in the faultmate i believe and also limits the max speed). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

If its easy enough to do one thing would be to take the plugs out and drop a tiny amount of engine oil down each cylinder, just a few drops, and quickly spin the engine for as quick as you can click the key with the plugs out to get the oil all around the bores. Could be hard to do on an SC mind.

When was it last serviced as i'd leave fluids in the boot(well strapped down and to the correct spec) so that when you get it to singapore you can drain the axles and engine as they are partially open to the air so salty air wont do them much good and its little money.

Clean the leather really well and get some gliptone on it as well.

A really good polish and wax would be a good idea to help seal the paint in that bit more and maybe some a light wash off all over the engine bay and underside to get that salty stuff off Smile Maybe lock it in access mode as well so no-one can drive it around dock side when you aren't there Wink or maybe see if there is something else the BBS can do to limit it like a 1500RPM rev limit would be a nice idea lol
