there are issues with aftermarket sat nav discs with speed cams on them cause the language to be defaulted to french..
this thread helps to explain the problem [it does go off topic a bit though] ... - .- -.

Is it French or Portuguese?

Google translate, whilst not being very helpful, thinks its Portuguese!

I think it's pigeon French and is saying check position light at the rear of the car - so possible a blown sidelight bulb at the back?

Might be pigeon Portuguese actually and be a front light - investigation implies that AV could be a Portuguese abbreviation for 'before'...

great thank you lads. when i turn the camera alert on it changes back to english. and says "check front side light" but the lights are fine. ive got a 2010 front convertion so the lights are led and working fine. ive had the car about 3 months now and this problem only ocurred a couple of days ago. any ideas how to fix this little bug peeps?? the diagnostic tool does not switch it off worst luck.

probably one of the bulbs are now causing a canbus error..

solution is to buy some new error free bulbs or get a diagnostic tool to switch off the hot and cold monitoring ,, ... - .- -.
