Well, a phone call delayed watching that movie, but I finally got round to it. Very silly. A dual with baloon's and blunderbuses over a sewage farm. The inevitable spiked German helmet piercing a baloon. Benny Hill was in it, but no tits or bums. Sarah Miles - if she didn't drink her own urine she'd be delicious. Terry Thomas is such an awful cad. Robert Morley - had lunch with him at the Dorchester once....ok, that was a lie. I first watched layer cake purely for the P38 but turned out to be one of the best films vile seen! A bit like when you discover the porn film really does have a plot! |

Love it. TerryThomas is always great. Check out Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World for more TT. (I prefer the extended "roadshow" cut. Check out Criterion - they have it as a very nice bluray. Robert Morley is also a wonderfully old fashioned Brit. You must know something I don't about Sarah Miles, but I don't think I want to know! :D Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

I remember watching this as a kid but always thought it was Tarka the Otter. Took me a while to find out which film it was.
