i think when the light comes on the airbag system is disabled. so not the best in a crash. I'm not sure if ALL are disabled or just the one causing the fault. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I believe a lit airbag warning lamp is about to be an MOT failure - if it's not already.

mine did the same , intermittent on/off...found out it was the passenger side occupancy sensor under the seat cushion...the wife jiggled her bum on the seat and the light flickered on and off... |

Come to think of it I don't recall it ever doing it when I was driving on my own, but I may be wrong. Do you remember how muchit cost to diagnose and get repaired? No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

Ok, so after a deep search, found out that the ID of the seat sensor is HGI000010 , this is a BMW part 65778367242-05.

for the sake of around £100 wouldnt it be better to have a working airbag and replace the seat sensor... ... - .- -.

I agree with you, but the bypass doesn't prevent the airbag from working, just tells the sensor that someone is sitting there all the time. Anyway, if the BMW part 65778367242 (X5 and Z3 part) works on the range rover, you can find some on ebay for less then 25€ |
