I learned to fly in a Rans7! Shocked

They are NOT certified for acrobatics. (VERY few non-military aircraft are built to withstand those stresses.) That pilot was quite skilled, but he was pulling a good few G's, both positive and negative. The most we were allowed were power-on stalls

On the plus side, I can't believe how fast the pilot deployed the parachute. He is one unflappable hombre!

Seems they don't have Park Distance Control.

Seems a common problem. I guess the A380 is a big beast to find a parking space for.

They're carefully labeled to make sure they're not installed the wrong way round.....

Ok, the A320neo (new engine option) has been rolled out.

Check out the size of those fans. That guy shouldn't stand so close - he could get sucked off. Laughing Laughing

Check out the sharklets on the end of the wings.

These are the differences.

If you want to be pedantic Airbus calls them sharklets. Also as in their marketing pic I posted.

46cm ground clearance! Shocked Wow. I know it's more ground clearance than an L322, but no wing wobble allowed.

The 737 max will have only 43cm (the same as the current 737) despite having only 69.4 inch diameter fans on its engines.

Apparently there will be some limitations with crosswind landings and maximum allowed bank angle , but 737's have been flying with less clearance for decades so I don't think it'll be a big problem.

Be interesting to hear how quiet it will be.
