I might have to duck to avoid the flak as this has been asked a dozen times.

on the back of the touch screen there's a spare socket for a reverse camera , use a smb to rgb connector and connect reverse camera..you get power from the reverse lights ...activate the ccf and you're good to go.

I bought and fitted a video in motion kit for my venturecam, and it automatically came with a rear cam software which seems to work well.

getting power from the brake lights means the cam will work when the brakes are applied which isnt ideal.

Yep Reversing lights make sense to me, just wondering why almost every other tip I've seen have said brake lights.

When I had my 5 series BMW which didn't have a rear view cam, I bought a video interface that had a reverse camera input. This was activated by a +12v sense wire, that I connected to the reverse light as described. I also cspliced it into the CAN bus (not the MOST bus, as this is fibre). On the rear of the BMW display there was a connector.

No Stan, but I'm sure there are similarities, especially the reverse sense wire on the video interface Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
