GraemeC - me too, I had a brand new one supplied with the car as it was missing and i pointed it out to the dealer. But at £16 I was compelled to buy another - for a rainy day! Whistle

Ditto Rolling Eyes
Though my original one won't operate my heater and I can't find an instruction set on this forum to get it to pair with the car. I've been pulling fuses and plugs, waiting 5 secs, 10 secs, pressing "Off" within 5 secs of powering back up but all to no avail. Seems the home made remote pairing only works on earlier i e pre MY11 cars Sad

Still, it's going in to the dealers in a couple of weeks for a close inspection and a few extra bits added so I'll get them to do it. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Job Done! Very Happy

Ordered the T91 from as per post above day before yesterday. Arrived today. Tried to pair by pulling fuse 59, didn't work. So took off the rear fuse box. Looked daunting but once the three screws are out it pulls away nicely to reveal the receiver. Thanks to good info on this site (see links above) I identified the multi-plug and although it was difficult I managed to get it out. Knowing it can be done allows a bit more force than I would otherwise have used. A front to back movement seemed to free it up. Left it unplugged for a couple of minutes then plugged it back in and pressed the off button on the new remote for a couple of seconds. Works fine. Also tried the old T90 which remains paired.

I was expecting nightmares and it turns out it was easier than I thought! A couple of glasses of nice red whilst watching the Lions beat the Queensland Reds may have helped confidence levels. Anyway job done and thanks to those who put up great advice earlier! Thumbs Up 2012 5.0L S/C

As you can see from the posts above, taking out the fuse rarely works. You have to take off the whole fuse box and retaining bar in the rear compartment. Once you've done that you can get access to the receiver at the back. Unplug the multi plug for a couple of minutes. Plug it back in then press the off button on the remote for a couple of seconds... this assumes 2010+ is the same. 2012 5.0L S/C

On my 2008MY TDV8 it was Fuse 16 in the rear fuse board.... worked like a charm.... with the added bonus of being much easier to get to !! 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Let me know what you find coz I can't work out how to do it on my 11MY. There's a black box with T91 on a label attached to what looks like a fibre optic cable connected to it. That box isn't behind anything, it's to the right of the rear fuse box.

Wow that was easy, removed the cover on the right hand side of the boot, pulled the power out of the T91, left for 5 secs, plugged power back in then held the off button for a couple of secs on the remote as described earlier and that's it, takes less than a minute. So, just to be clear, the Telstar T91 black box to the right of your fuse box in the boot of the car. You unplugged the black 3 wire connector, left for over 5 secs, plugged it back in and pressed the off button on your heater remote less than 5 secs later and all was well?

Did you do this with the ignition on or off?

I've tried it with the ignition off and I still can't start my heater. Whenever I press either button the remote LED flashes rapidly between red and it looks like yellow. No constant red or green illumination. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

I think yellow means the remote battery is on the way out. 2012 5.0L S/C

Hi Baron, I did it with the ignition off but within a minute of unlocking the car, Then as you described I pulled the 3 wire connector from the T91 Telestart box left it 5secs then plugged it back in then within 5 secs pressed down the off button for about 3 secs. The unpaired remote will flash more rapidly but when it's paired it will go solid. As nomad mentioned if the light goes orange the battery is on the way out. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

Thanks jez, looks like my poor remote battery is preventing me from pairing. I'll get a new one tomorrow and start again. Thanks for clearing up the pairing procedure for a MY11 car. The location of the electronic gubbins seems to have been moving around the boot of the car almost with each successive year! 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

My 1st one arrived this morning Smile

A lot smaller than i thought it would be but does use a small button battery so i guess the range isn't as big as the older fobs...

Collected mine from sorting office this morning.
It is an additional one to leave at work.
Pairing is a doddle. As described above, also original remote remains paired when you pair the new one Thumbs Up
