Yes done the full lock to full lock, battery is only 6 months old

First check is making sure charging voltage and current are within the "normal" range and the battery is actually still OK. Even new batteries can fail from time to time. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

The two lights on the right are brake related, one is the Emergency Brake assist and the other is an ABS one, which as you know normally extinguishes after ignition.

Yes it only goes on short trips. This might sound stupid but how do I check the voltage

On slightly newer cars with the touch screen sat nav you can get into a secret diagnostic menu via the screen and see real time figures, I can't recall if or how it is done on the older cars though. (Known as the 753 hack)
