Update

Right then the FF went in today to go on the diagnostics and they think its the steering angle sensor.
So my question is has anyone had to change this, I've had a look on google and some say the dash has to come out others say it does not. And anyone know how much one is

Hi, I was getting this serious of lights for a while, including an error code for steering angle sensor. Turned out alternator was over charging. Changed alternator and steering angle sensor error vanished. The other errors we tracked down to the battery being under pressure, despite it being a new relatively new replacement. These things love electricity.

Added a solar recharge panel on the back carrier shelf for the load bay cover, plugged into the cigarette lighter attachment in on the right hand side of the boot. This trickle charges and supplements the battery voltage especially when the car is only doing small runs. These resolved the problems. Check "steal bay" for a solar charger, not expensive, from 20 quid up.
