If you think that will dent L322 prices then you should really think again. LR are propping up S/H values by increasing new prices. When the D4 first came out it was a gnats over 42k for a HSE. That's now 52k. The base model L322 last year was 64k. The base L405 is almost 10k more.

Even 100k mile TDV8's still fetch 19 or 20k now. That's very unlikely to drop to 14 anytime soon.

Do you really think there will be lttle reduction in prices? Even when winter passes and the general demand for 4X4 cars go down (although these cars arnt normal 4x4 cars)???

Also set aside £1500 -£3000 per annum repairs and maintenance "insurance".

TD6 cheaper road tax, better fuel economy, but no a boy racer unless you chip and mod.

Read the wiki for the buyers guide, and follow it, walk away if too much is not working, it just isn't worth the effort.

See 4/5 before deciding. .

The Sport is a really nice looking car, but it's a Discovery with a Range Rover body. It gives you less luggage space and two less seats for more $$ than a Disco. Despite being smaller than a ffrr it is not any lighter. Shocked

When I looked for my ffrr, I didn't find much (if any) difference in price second hand between the models, so decided to go for the big one Mr. Green

Remember what forum you're on! We may be a little biased. As a previous poster said, drive them both and find out what you like.

You would definitely need to drive the two models , more so for you to feel what version you are really comfortable with and suits your lifestyle , as previously said the two offer entirely different outlooks on the interior and driving performances . ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

I personally find the Sport a bit claustrophobic. As said before, the sport is a less practical D3/4 but they do hold their value well. i couldnt have got a RRS(at least one worth having) for the price i got my 05 Vogue se for. As far as spec, the only thing missing on mine is the TDV8 Crying or Very sad but i couldnt run to that at the time and it gives me something to aim for Thumbs Up

In the front the claustrofobia wasn't too bad for me (I am 6.2 / 1.89) but in the back it was quite bad. To be honest in my FFRR with the privacy glass in the back and the black seats it feels a bit "tight" as well. My wife hates sitting in the back of the FF or any car that is dark(ish) in the back.

We had a rental car with the full roof and that was great, lots of light in the back but that is beside the point here Wink

Go for the FF, you will thank us for that advice Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
