2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black
3.6 tdv8 fuel consumption...

Early start to take kids to duxford. Suspiciously easy drive up but got a personal record in the mpg stakes. She just brushed 38 mpg as we arrived with the range refusing to increase above 621 miles. The distance travelled obviously went up giving a theoretical range of 750 miles on arrival. I have previously brim tested the computer and it is within about 0.5 mpg. Tyres recently checked...using 36/42 psi. Any advances on this with a 3.6? '96 Volkswagen Polo 1.4CL - SOLD

Shocked 38 mpg! Was that all downhill?? Shocked

I have never seen more than 34 out of mine and that was over a long run from Lancashire to Porthleven at the far end of Cornwall.

That said normally I get around 27 on average (mix of very short journeys and a little motorway work)

Since the last reset at the weekend, I have covered 60 miles at an average speed of 12mph and 16.6 mpg - which i don't consider to be too bad TBH

I get around 27 according to the computer thingy. Before anyone starts - I don't really care if it's not that accurate or if it isn't accurate at all. In the same way that I don't care who believes in Father Christmas - I do and thats all that matters Very Happy Geoff

I just find it puzzling that people who buy Range Rovers concern themselves over an extra 2 or 3 MPG …… Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

you must have been driving like a nun Rolling with laughter

fill it up and do a tank full calculation ie fillup versus mileage for the true fuel burn and I think it will be a little bit less, but good all the same for the size of the beast.

I agree with Joker, drive it properly and enjoy it and don't worry bout a few mpg Thumbs Up

I've done 7,500 miles, 22 fill ups, average is just under 22.mpg

Best I've seen is just under 27, worst was just over 19.

How you got to 38, I'll never know! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey
