The problem I had was the high Pressure pipe between the high pressure pump on the front of the engine and the fuel rail. It would cause the fuel to rain back to the tank when Parked but would leak when running can you see or smell any fuel leaking.

No fuel leaking from what I can see as it just seems to happen under load as it sat and idled for ages earlier after I swapped the pump out Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Well a quick bit of testing shows that the air is being pulled in by the pump.

I flipped the pump round and gave it a litre or two of juice to feed its thirst in the hope that it would show a leak but no luck,

I'm starting to think the in tank pickup/pump has come adrift and is causing the issue but ive never seen one or heard of this before so am totally stumped now.

Also to remove the tank it looks like the exhaust has to come off and the tank dropped which being half full is about 50kg+ in weight.... Not so bad if the car is up in the air but for me its on the drive! THe flip side is taking it off it can be drained into some containers i have so refitings isnt too bad!!

Anyone done this before? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
