this sounds like air to fuel mismatch, the amount of air entering the engine is greater than what is passing the maf sensor ,check if you have any air/vacuum leaks
make sure the large black air duct that runs from the air filter to the throttle housing on the inlet manifold is secure as these do come adrift when replacing the air filter .
also check the pcv valve pipes at the rear of the engine as these collapse and go all goey Thumbs Up 1990 3.5 v8 defender

Very common fault codes on V8 Petrol LPG RR's.

Very difficult to get a permanent cure but I think it the oxygen sensors detecting weak or strong mixture in the exhaust gasses.

Probably needs a bit of tweaking.

steve
there are 4 pipes to change , 2 large pipes 1 short smaller pipe that goes on the oil seperator and oil tube and the last 1 a long small pipe from the pcv valve to the inlet manifold, they all go rotten and gooey
also for peace of mind i would change the pcv valve

Any updates on these pipes? How did you get on, problem cured? Ive had a similar issue-engine light is on. i keep clearing it then it returns within 10 miles. It has been running fine until today. I noticed when stationary the engine feels ever so slightly lumpy-and i mean very slightly. I did notice that when the big viscous fan kicks in the enine doesnt feel as lumpy.
I replaced the two o2 sensors infront of the cats recently to cure the engine light as the fault codes pointed towards them. but the light still comes on. Any help much appreciated.

Fraser
