As an aside then, per my question about resetting gearbox adaptives, is this a feature which can be added in a future release please?

Thanks. Dom.

2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Gents regarding my post about the IIDtool not being able to read engine fault codes, bent pin 7 slightly and it has worked. Thank you.
Although im looking for advice on the faults it has appeared with they read as

412-o2 sensor circuit upstream sensor
405-o2 sensor heater circuit bank2 upstream fault
40D-o2 sensor heater circuit bank1 upstream fault

renewed all upstream sensors, maf plugs, pcv valve and hoses.
engine idles rough when engine management light is on, very poor mpg etc.

Please read topic 4.4v8 Oxygen sensors / Engine management light

Any help appreciated, Fraser

Turned on 'nav on the move', however doesn't seem to work... any ideas?

Thanks.

It depends on which SW version you have in the nav computer and the country code setting. Some combinations allow nav on the move, some don't.

We do plan to look back into this as well. Possibly we can find a work-around...

I've just had a play with the DRL settings on my 2003 4.4 and I have a question;
If I set it to use the Main Beam then only the main beam headlights come on.
If I set it to use the Dip Beam then all the lights come on, ie dashboard, side, dip, rears & number plate.

Is this normal as I would have expected just the front dip beam to be used?

I've set it to use the main beam at 40% for now as I don't want all the lights on. Wink

BTW, the ability to stop the "bong" for the key in the ignition is a God send! Thumbs Up

i think the dip beam setting would be accessing the Scandinavian part of the drl which does have the rears on as well...

agree re the ignition bong.. Thumbs Up ... - .- -.

That would make sense, I though it would be like my TD5 Disco where you could access the Canadian DRL which just have the dipped headlights on.
Not to worry, I'll see how it goes with the mains on at 40%. Wink

Had a look through most of this thread, but didn't see what I was looking for, but I appologise if this has been covered before.

After replacing the front air springs, and getting everything going again, all faults cleared, I went through each ECU and checked for any other fault codes that were still lurking. I found 3 - nothing major, just an EGR fault, a low voltage in the Transfer case and something in the Anti theft.

I thought I'd clear all the errors again, but when I did, it cleared 18 faults, not the 3 I could see. What else is the tool looking at and clearing that I can't see when I read the faults?

Cheers - Gav

I think the number it shows is the number of ECU's it is accessing to look and then clear the faults if there is one.

I presume you did the 'clear all faults' and not individual ECU.

This is what appears to happen on mine even though I only have a small number of recurring faults (inc low voltage at transfer box!) but it counts up to 20 odd which I always presumed was it looking in each ECU for the faults.

I never thought that number was the number of faults cleared, but I am sure if I am wrong someone will say.

Yeah you both are correct. It's counting the number of ecus it's accessing, not the number of faults cleared.
