Mine does this on occasion, sometime front sometimes back, sometimes a little whirr from the compressor. No fault codes from diagnostics though, guess it just gets in a pickle and has to sort itself out. .

If you leave it parked on uneven ground, it will try to level itself out - may be why it resets part (i.e. the front only) when you return to it? |

It is just the suspension leveling itself out....

I find that funny too, suddenly the car goes up an inch or two, and everyone is wondering what the hell is happening.. I just have to look down on all those around me without randomly adjusting odd suspension abilities. First sign for the defect pressure sensor in the silver air-tank under the right side of the underbody..., and also for the compressor pressure under 13,7 atü...., because the ECU, the sensor and the front ventil work together only with full pressure

It is quite a lot of fun playing with the suspension height. I now do it on a daily basis for my drive to/from work as the rainy season creates some deep puddles with all kinds of crap in them. I look at all the "poor" sedans scraping through and I just glide through at offroad height ! And access height is also great for the kids and SWMBO getting in and out. And the random adjustment/re-levelling is just quirky. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
