you're correct in saying that aftermarket tints do cause reception problems thats why you should get carbon based tints which dont have any metal in them...

When i bought it, it had the tints but i was naieve as to all the issues, also whether they were lr or after market.

from memory i think its a little white box with a smc type connector on it... ... - .- -.
