Its Black Soot, Billows out as long as I keep the foot down hard and I can see it clearly in the Mirrors. I have also noticed I have dropped from 23mpg to 21.5mpg but have put this down to me messing around with the throttle. If its over fuelling whats the solution. Not due a service for another 6k miles. |

This problem was solved by replacing the air intake pipe which had a small hairline crack in it (underneath). Crack was not visible from above and was a simple and cheap €25.00 fix. It has since happened to the other one but this time I knew and had it sorted in minutes. I have also seen this happen to a v8 BMW X5 |

This happened to me, it was the Turbo inlet pipes, both rubber pipes were cracked on the underside. When I first noticed the smoke I thought i had blown a Turbo, but was very happy to find out after calling the independent it was a quick cheap fix. |
