It is a two stager! Disconnect negative terminal first before doing anything else (after waiting for systems to die) Yes, disconnect the yellow multiplug Yes, undo the battery terminal nut until loose Yes, unclip the red cover and undo the nut on the battery diconnect thingy. Remove cable then release terminal from battery. As long as you allow all the computers to die before disconnecting things, you can't really go wrong. . Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Volvo V70 P2 2006 2.4 Petrol 170bhp Estate SE MG Midget Mk1 1962 Previous: L322 Range Rover TDV8 3.6 2008; L322 Range Rover TD6 3.0 2002; P38A Range Rover V8 1999 |

Thanks Joe, I'm following the WIKI to the letter I was not sure if the multi plug was the yellow one or that other black thing in the photo.

Don't forget to put the Bonnet in 'Sevice mode' first or you'll never get it out. Regards

FWIW, I unlock the car, don't put key in ignition. pop the bonnet, put bonnet in service mode, disconnect -ve, disconnect +ve - haul the thing out after undoing what you need to. Put new one back in reconnect +ve then -ve , start the car and do the steering lock to lock a few times to reset the steering angle sensor.

One last question chaps. One piece of WIKI says attach the +VE to the bulkhead stud first and then to the battery terminal.
