Am I right in thinking facelift FFRR's didn't require the recall?

My facelift is from October 05, 55 plate... And it needed done. Previously..
Vogue SE TD6
Defender 90 2.4
Defender 110 TD5
Vogue 3.5 EFI

give your reg to the dealer and they will check.. ... - .- -.

The recall programme is now closed AFAIK.

My 2003 Td6 had the driveshaft recall done on 19th December 2011 by the Land Rover dealer in Chesterfield, so if they have stopped it now, I'm a very lucky man !!

As Scarey says, your local dealer will tell you whether it needs to be done or not.

Thanks guys, have not purchased a car yet .... am looking at 06my 4.2's and 4.4's and thought I wouldnt have to worry about it

Mine was a 1 owner car, when I bought it last November. The first owner ended up in hospital for 7 months in 2007, which is why mine wasn't done at the time, I'd imagine.

Took them from a Friday 1st thing to late on the Monday, as they couldn't get the old bolts out.

Did lend me a brand new Freelander though.........

Not a major issue, as its done under the warranty/recall system.

Shouldn't cost you anything.

So do I call Land Rover head office or just any dealer?

I tried the local dealer and they said they don't have a database so unless the work was done with them they wouldn't any records. African Bush Junkie ... in London!

try a larger dealer, maybe the one you called isnt linked to the network....i called th whites near swindon and they told me.

I just went into my local dealer, Gordon Lamb in Chesterfield. They typed my reg number in, and could then see any outstanding work required on my car. If you've had a few private plates on, the VIN would suffice.

If you want to call them instead, 01246 269000 is their phone number.

My car had never been there before, as it came from Stoke on Trent, so they must have a national vehicle database ?

You could always have a look underneath for yourself.
It should look exactly like this, if it doesn't it hasn't been done.
