| I have a Battery Brain fitted which cuts out the battery when the voltage drops below 11.7V, so the car is (almost) guaranteed to start. |

The Battery Brain only kicks in if it finds that the battery voltage has dropped below 11.8V.

I haven't tested for a battery drain back to the alternator when the car is switched off.
I'll take a look at how to test that.

Tomorrow I shall attempt to remove the EVAP Purge Valve and see if it is working properly.
If it has failed in the open position then that might be the cause of my worries.

Thanks all.
I've ordered an ODB2 reader so will be able to check the air flow meter on Wednesday hopefully.
Symptoms are the same on LPG and on Petrol.
Equally, the same with AC on and AC off.
