I popped the bonnet today just for a look around as I do occasionally.
There was a decent splattering of oil around the dip stick area caused by the dip stick being out about 2-3 inches ... |

After ringing around all over the place it seems that nobody saves the hoses or attachments. They're not worth the effort apparently.
