Have a good look at each sensor. A common issue is where the paint starts to blister and close the gap around the sensor. This causes the long beeeeeeep as if your right up against something.

Have a look at the numbers on the old AFM. Is there a number like 5WK97011Z? If there is, I think you'll find VDO/Continental, (same company) are the actual manufacturer of the OE part.

Solution in my case was to replace the Air Flow Meter. When searching online try looking up the alternative part numbers. If I have the right one from LR Cat:
