You should be getting 14+v at idle .

I would check your earth strap to the engine, and the starter cable while you are at it.

I had the same problem with a Bosch S5 020 which I fitted in March 15.OK for two and a half years then I started to get slow turn over and warning lights on the dash when starting,over the next few months it got worse to the point of not starting and seemed to be constantly on the Cetk. Alternator working fine,no battery drain. Finally took it off the car and back to ECP with my warranty in pocket,After some discussion and pointing out it will not take a full charge l got it replaced. All is ok now. The worst thing about being retired is you miss out on all the bank holidays |

I replaced the loom battery to alt to starter when I had a problem but then I replaced the alternator at 10 ears and kept it as a spare and changed all belts as well -- poor starting stopped |
