| Ouch…yeah maybe I’m hoping a bit too much, may have to resort to the spares or repair route getting rid…I just couldn’t justify going over 5k with repairs, even at that it’s owing me far too ... |

| Possibly, just think a second hand one with guarantee may be better, as it’s an interference engine the valves will be bent and all sorts of guess.. |

In their defence I’d say it seems very uncommon for engine chain problems on these…nobody seems to have heard of this problem before on these engines…

UPDATE!
So I collected it back from the specialist, and just out of interest I took the oil cap off to reveal NO CHAIN on the cam sprocket inside there!
