What bulbs are in the 2010 FFRR & RRS number plate light

Hi all

As per the what bulbs are fitted in the number plate bulb holder in the 2010 FF & RRS?

I passed a 60 reg RRS and the number plate on the rear was lit up with a crisp white light, not OTT like some LED's give but just the right amount.

Is it a normal bulb witha brighter colour rating or is it LED?

Thanks

Carl

But is is a brighter halogen bulb or an LED?

They are brighter than 2002 - 2009, certainly on the 60 plate RRS A/B I passed

If its a crisp white light, then it is likely it will be LED, most likely a 1w SMD type fitting like you get on BMW's etc. There are a lot of lower powered LED bulbs around which don't have a decent power output.

I fitted LED's to my RRS, but have so far resisted the urge with the FFRR. Need to find some good high power output SMD bulbs with the resistors fitted so that the bulb warning light does not come on.

Alanm_3, are you pleased with the light output? Is it good?

Might have to get some of these if they are up to the job. Have used 0.5w SMD LED's before and to be honest the light was a nice temperature (i.e. crisp and white) but the actual intensity/output left a lot to be desired.

No complaints at all, as bright, if not brighter than the original bulbs I think, but much whiter! Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Did they fit ok? I was told by an online supplier that I needed a 38mm festoon whereas these are 36mm?

They were slightly loose when I first tried them, but since the contacts are just steel strips with holes to locate the end of the bulbs, a small bend inwards was all that was neededto tighten them and I've had no issues since. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Do you have a picture of the rear of ur FF at night so I can see how white they are?

I bought some similar LED's for a Mercedes SL a year or so ago and they lit the rear bumper and road aswell as the number plate, very Max Power.

Cheers

I've got the led's and found that if turned directly down were too bright, angled them round and got a nice light instead of a starship Thumbs Up
