Direct Line are another insurer that require a tracker to be fitted otherwise you wont be covered for theft. From the sounds of it though they are a bit more upfront about it as you have to inform them which tracker you have fitted when purchasing the policy.

there's obviously insurance for all budgets and each to his own and all that - but it's about insuring risk (and fear!) and so wife and I have a bonkers, multicar policy with Hiscox.

Just out of curiosity, I ran a quote through Admiral for a S/C, quote came back circa £560 which I thought was fantastic. Considering the cheapest I could find for this Merc. was £1000+

the 406 is down as 10,000miles but I would be amazed to get £800 (what i paid for it in 2010) for it. Great car though as a workhorse. On the normal run to work I can get 62mpg - makes it hard to justify spending out on a replacement, even the Skoda Fabia Greenline II (95mpg/£0VED) - particularly since the seem not to devalue! When they do get down I may be tempted...Also love the BMW 520d touring - 60mpg from an automatic... '96 Volkswagen Polo 1.4CL - SOLD
