What is the dot above odometer?

Hi,
I have noticed a small black dot appear above the odometer on the left hand dashboard display. Any ideas what this means - it looks as though it is supposed to be there and telling me something. Had a quick look in the manual but could not find anything.
Kind regards,

Im sure it means something has changed. The mileage is stored on several ECU's. Off the top of my head the dash binical ECU and the BCM ECU, if either has been changed with and older or newer one the dot appears to show a miss match. The ecu's will show the higher mileage. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Very good! I wondered whether it was a mark but it is on the display.
They have recently been trying to fix a blinking (literally) main beam and after changing the indicator stalk, plumped for a Headlight control module (the wizardry that sits behinf the headlight controls) change. This seems to have cured it - they were as surpirised as me!
I will query this when I next speak to them as the car has currently lost the 'quick swipe of the indicator for 3 flashes' facility. Not the end of the world but I will have that done next time she is in with them. '96 Volkswagen Polo 1.4CL - SOLD

the mileage is held in the clocks,LCM and main ecu, if any of these are change you will get the dot appear, if a new unit is fitted then it will be coded to your car and the correct mileage inserted.this can only be done once. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

As Daveo said. Sounds like they have used a spare/pre used LCM which obviously has a different mileage stored and the miss match is causing the dot. If they change it back will the Dot go? That's the million dollar question I would be asking. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
