United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Giverny Green

They offered to buy it back rather than a refund which would mean me being out of pocket. The finance company are now 'looking into things'. Apparently things 'take some time'!!

Your protected through the credit company so should be OK as long as they are respectable as they may tell that dealer to take it back or suffer higher rates on their loans as the credit company would have to take the car back if the dealer didn't as they warrant the sale effectively but i'd just park it outside their gates with big signs in the window saying LEMON BOUGHT FROM DEALER XXXX and lock the car up Very Happy

As long as its on a public highway and not blocking any traffic or breaking rules they cant do much Wink

Should get them phoning you pretty quick to buy it back Very Happy

Did you say this is a main dealer? If so, write a full letter detailing the process from beginning to end, and send it to the dealer principal, requesting a meeting. If he doesn't meet with you then escalate it to Land Rover UK, but give the dealer a chance to fix it first.

Just be clear, a buyback, or a delay, is not acceptable, you just want and require to be put back into the same position which you were in prior to purchase, which is your statutory right.

If you're a member of the AA or RAC they should be able to offer you advice FOC. Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Yeah, I bought it from a franchised dealer.

The finance company are currently 'looking into it'. While i'm waiting i've instructed a solicitor as I just can't be bothered dealing with them anymore!!

Well Ladies and Gents.

The Range Rover was handed back to the dealer today and I got my refund! I'm a bit sad to see it go but realise that with the continual problems it was the right thing to do!

So for now, i'm FFRR-less and as such I'll be heading off from the forum for a while.

Can I just say thanks to everyone who contributed to my numerous fault questions.

Green. Out.

Green,

Why don't you just take the proceeds and buy Ben's facelift TD6

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic8728.html

It has an extended Land Rover select warranty, but you're not paying the main dealer premium! Don't let one poor dealer experience put you off!

Make sure you haggle a couple of grand off though to penalise Ben for his very poor advertising! Laughing Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
