FWIW if mine is flashing it generally means it ain't working. I press the on button on the remote until the green led glows constantly and then release it, at which point the green led goes out
However given the rich tapestry of variation in FF behaviour that may not mean anything, but it's just what happens to me.
Turning off is the same if I do it remotely only its obviously the off button and the red led HTH

OK, understood... but: - if you do this, does it then reset it? Graham

I'm easily confused and so your question has confused me. Confused

I don't quite understand what you're getting at - I have never had any thing to do other than press on until the green led is on constantly - heater on and I either just get in car and go after about 20 minutes in which case it switches off, or I press off if i haven't finished by brekky but think it's been on long enough in which case red led lights up and heater goes off.

I'm probably being a bit thick but - press on,led green, heater on/ press off,led red, heater off - led only lights whilst button on remote is being pressed this i'm afraid is the limit of my experience. Crying or Very sad Geoff

Ahah. Maybe I didn't read the manual.. do you have to press and hold?

If I press the "on" button briefly, the fans start but not the heater, then it all turns off. I assumed it's broken.

Give me a few mins, test in progress Graham

Right, tried again. Makes no difference if I "press and hold" or "press and let go"... I get a green "on" light on teh remote after a second or so, it doesn't flash. Maybe I read too much into your post, sorry.

Mine's still broke. Big Cry

I do have my IIDTool on the way though so I'll be able to see if there are any faults and maybe even clear them... Graham

Is that for parts? Do they service as well?

Fault number 2 occurred at 1750 today 'air suspension inactive' whilst driving down the motorway!!!

Sorry guys.

The 'Air Susp Inactive' seemed to clear when I pulled out of the car parking space at Ikea.

However, driving down the motorway today and it did the same again!!! It seemed to happen yesterday and today around 5 minutes into motorway driving.

Also, it might be me but someone at work wanted to look at my car so I was only too happy to oblige. I raised the suspension to 'normal' from access, it took maybe 15 seconds, no noise, no problems. But then I raised it to Off Road. We could hear what sounded to us like a knocking/banging and it took around 45 seconds to raise. Should I be worried cos I tell you, i'm starting to panic!!!

It did get a new battery before the car was handed over to me. I'm expecting the dealer knows about the steering remedy (left/right).

This could be speed related or the steering angle sensor might be out or faulty, is the steering wheel straight?.....

Where was the noise coming from? was it from the suspension area (one of the 4 corners) or the compressor area (boot)

Hello mate

From what I can remember, the steering wheel was/is straight!

The noise sounded to me like it was coming from the front of the car and if you pushed me i'd say it sounded worse on the O/S/F!

Seems that 45 seconds is a long time to raise.
I can only go by mine as a new one, but only takes about 3 to 5 seconds.

I think noise (as long as not too loud) is relatively normal. Especially if you're rasing or lowering stationary and particulary with brake on.
Even my new one creaks a bit if you do that. I tend to only raise & lower when coming to a crawl - that way everthing can move as it needs to without forcing anything, so no noises.

I would get that checked though as that does seem way to long to lift it.

Thanks mate.

I've just had the "Air Susp Inactive" message again just as I was driving up my drive. Thought that i'd just park up and leave it but the car has reminded me that its not level as the alarm started going off!! Sad

Emailed the dealer yesterday but not heard from them yet!

Cheers Rolo,

I'm not expecting to pay anything.

I've had the car 5 days and the fault occurred the day after I bought the car. I had also raised a suspension fault prior to buying the car and was assured it would be rectified. So, according to Consumer Direct/Trading Standards the dealer should be repairing the faults.

Today brought a new angle to the problems. Driving to work again, just joined the motorway (still accelerating) display showed OFF ROAD HEIGHT MAX SPEED 30 MPH. Marvellous. Couldn't do anything (in Lane 2) so accelerate and then it changed to 'AIR SUSP INACTIVE which stayed on for the rest of my journey. Parked it up at work and came back to it hours later. Did the same old stuff on the way home from work!

I remember driving a Range Rover a few years ago and I remember it feeling like travelling on a flying carpet. What i'm finding is that every bump in the road is felt in the car!

Car is booked in for Tuesday. Strangely though, my remote parking heater started working earlier!! I wonder why it wouldn't work the other day but it did today!?

I'm also noticing little things on the car that I want to replace/clean etc! I'm spending hundreds in my head and whilst i've only spent a few quid with Dan so far, I can see that I may as well ask him to retain my cards! Laughing
