Weatherstrip

I'm looking to replace the black metal trim along the bottom of my Front and Read Driver side windows, is this part called the weather strip? Its not like a rubber but a hard black metal, I want to replace these as they have some small signs of rust bubbling.

Any help would be great. Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

Its not rust as such but corroding aluminium.

They are available from Dan @ Duckworths and are a very easy fit - look for the screws when door open (Was in a D3 anyway Smile)

replaced all mine they are just fitted on with pressure. So to remove just lever up using a flat bladed screw driver (coated in tape to avoid damage to paint). I think the parts are around £20-30 per weather guard.

shame they corrode and bubble up the plastic, should be made out of something better or coated in rubber themselves to stop corrosion.

Gary i have a 2002 L322 if thats what you mean. The rear door ones also just lever off with a screw drive and the new ones just push on with pressure and make sure you get the width alignment right.

Ah not done that one yet! i don't think that one just levers up, might slide sideways. Eagerly anyone else who has done this already as water drains into that channel and is a PITA when you lift the tailgate up.

Thats seems to be a common problem with all weatherstrips mine are fine at the moment but I had this on my 2 year old Discovery 3 . You would think Tata would get their act together and use a bit of Indian rubber or something to get it sorted. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I'm sure it's the two side strips on the rear window that holds the bottom strip in place as I noticed I do not have the bottom rear window strip .. ====================================

I would suspect a new weather seal will in a few years time corrode again. Would it be possible to strip them back and paint instead of them being covered in a plastic coating
