I cant see how the solar chargers can put enough power back into the system to keep the battery topped up, you'd need a decent sized one, like the size of the sunroof to do the job of trickle charging the system enough. |

I've got one but can't say it works or doesn't as don't seem to have a batt issue. Was only cheap of the bay but might have enough umph to stop the trickle flow. Not sure if it's been tried but a battery cover/jacket could help. My old BMW had a battery sleeping bag and lasted far longer than expected.
