There's are lots of reports of 22's being very prone to cracking, due to the small amount of sidewall on the tyre.

I have a set of 22" Overfinch Tiger style alloys, and so far so good! Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

I used to run 22" supersports on my D3 and they rode brilliantly but you do have to watch the curbs Big Cry .Also the choice of tyres is limited for 22s(especially the weight rating needed for D3 Shocked ). On my full fat i have gone for 20"s for the mo

I have some genuine 2010 autobiography wheels and IMO look as good as any 22" set, plus are designed for vehicle and have lower risk of curbing or cracking. That said I do like the look of some of the overfinch 22s.
If you're gunna get a set of 22" don't go aftermarket as you'll be replacing them in no time of your local roads are poor. FFRR TD6 HSE

I've cracked alloys on my passat which had low profile wheels. I can only imagine that on a FFRR, the weight on low profile tyres is going to make the possibility of cracking quite high if you drive roads that aren't particularly smooth, or you want to go off tarmac much. V8 or else ...
