There's are lots of reports of 22's being very prone to cracking, due to the small amount of sidewall on the tyre.

i have 22 inch overfinch alloys too. everyone has different taste but i wouldnt have anything other than 22 |

I used to run 22" supersports on my D3 and they rode brilliantly but you do have to watch the curbs .Also the choice of tyres is limited for 22s(especially the weight rating needed for D3 ). On my full fat i have gone for 20"s for the mo

I do like the 22's i just know that the roads road here r crap and i tow my jetski alot with the car and that has also concerned me

I have some genuine 2010 autobiography wheels and IMO look as good as any 22" set, plus are designed for vehicle and have lower risk of curbing or cracking. That said I do like the look of some of the overfinch 22s.

I've cracked alloys on my passat which had low profile wheels. I can only imagine that on a FFRR, the weight on low profile tyres is going to make the possibility of cracking quite high if you drive roads that aren't particularly smooth, or you want to go off tarmac much. V8 or else ... |

I have 285 35 22, I honestly couldn't tell u if it was 9j at all. Maybe someone can tell this from the tyre sizes I have.
