Rubber or premium?

I have read on this forum and another about mats causing the gas pedal to stick down on pre-06 models. Apparantly there was a technical bulletin issued to LR dealers not to fit pre-06 mats as well. Does anyone know if this was the rubber or premium mats? As such, would it be worthwhile me buying the '06 facelift mats instead?

On a 'I can't make a decision note', what is your preference? Rubber or premium?

i have rubber which is very very easy to clean, but what bothers me is why have mats covering a carpet that will never be seen and enjoyed... ... - .- -.

get both, I cover the carpet mats with the rubber mats in the winter, and in the summer put the carpet mats over the rubber. best of both worlds, it gives a nicer cabin interior / more plush, and it might sound stupid, but also the carpet is quieter than the rubber - carpets absorb noise rubber doesn't.

the genuine premium carpet mats are fantastic quality, they shrug off the dirt and when they do get grubby I have hosed mine clean and scrubbed them with washing up liquid when needed.

Going into winter I'd get a rubber set. They are cheaper and readily available on eBay at low prices. Then next spring if you still want a set of carpet ones get em. FFRR TD6 HSE
Adriatic Blue with Parchment leather.

don't bother with the premium if you know it's going to get dirty with mud etc. They're really thick pile & feel lovely with your shoes off !
But not good if you constantly step in & out with muddy shoes.

I've got both. Just swap as needed. One over the other in MY05 & no trouble with throttle
