Joe, I don't think airbags go as quickly as that unless you have been unfortunate or hit a massive pothole. Exactly what errors and warning lights are you showing?

I get the flashing: "AIR SUSP INACTIVE" message on the dash (no ding) and no lights from the EAS switch area (and no reaction if I try the switch). Then when I switch the ignition off I get the "ding" and the same mesage again up on the dash. That's it.

As an aside, although I have got fairly new steering control arms on both sides, I have been having to steer to the left a bit the last couple of days in order to go in a straight line.

EAS has always been slow to change heights - I can wait a minute before the flashing lights stop when going into off road height.

Seems that OSR front and rear and NSL rear are at @ access height or motorway height - I can just about get a fist between the tyre and the wing, whilst the NSL front is way up probably standard if not higher

Journey home was uneventful, oh apart from having to test the ABS at one point - that's working Wink .

OK. Tried lock to lock turning and battery disconnect for an hour. No difference, fault remains.

Given I am not down on the bump stops (appears to be at standard or motorway height on three corners) and holding at this height would suggest I don't have any leaks (?) so am thinking it's probably the compressor which has given up the ghost (?) or a problem with the height sensor on the passenger side front (?)

A really good set of pages on the EAS can be found here:

If you can get underneath and disconnect the bottom connection of the sensor where it attaches to the wishbone and try moving it in both directions. Remember that the body may come down and make things a little tight under there

Of course, if you have the "Air Susp Inactive" error it won't move until after it has been reset.

Well I can hear the compressor when it runs due to the LPG relocation (not too loud, but audible) When you are aware how long it runs for and how hard the thing works you wouldn't put it into access mode every time you stop it !!

I leave mine in normal mode - occassionally I drop it and raise it but certainly not every time.....

True but then the other argument is leaving the vehicle in normal mode puts unwanted stress on the vehicle having to continually monitor the pressure while left parked overnight say?

Doesn't really to be honest. Access mode is not on the bump stops ( its 20mm off the bump stops ) . Its just a lower setting of the height. So the car would still monitor the height in access mode as it would do in normal height mode. Plus, it doesnt really do much monitoring anyhow. It'll settle the vehicle once its initially parked up, and will re-adjust ( only if its needs to ) every 6 hours after that. When parked up, the only adjustments it'll make are to lower the car to the lowest wheel height. It wont start the compressor to try and lift the vehicle.

Access height or normal height makes no difference to that monitoring. V8 or else ...
