I've been looking into de-catting my Supercharged, it seems like a bit of a no-brainer, but in searching for a de-cat pipe for the S/C, I came across a company which offers a de-cat for the TD6.

Not if it has LPG, but then the new test people are banging on about will be looking for the cat unless the replacement pipe has abox in it as well... |

I was speaking with an exhaust manufacturer yesterday regarding catalytic converters and he was saying everyone who has had the cat removed from their vehicle will be in trouble next MOT time as they are going to be included in the test as from next year.

Definitely a fail from 1 1 2012 if you have no cat in place on a spark ignition engine and the car was built with one in place, spark ignition includes lpg.

Is that right for LPG as the rules for LPG were just smoke test rules as a specific exclusion? |

Is it a visual check? It's pretty straightforward to ensure that there's no visible difference. 2012 SDV8 Vogue SE |

Does removing the cats not increase the emission levels?

Diesels are usually just a smoke test.
