2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black
So here I am sat outside Conwy Land Rover........UPDATE

As you may know i bought a range rover TDV8 and its not without its problems so I'm sat outside Conwy LR waiting for them to open.

Faults are:

New windscreen leaking

Handbrake usless on a hill

Driveline shunt when decel / accel

Poor gearchange from 1st to 2nd

PTI talks to the phone some days - not others

Rear wash inoperative ie wiper works but no water

Ill keep you all informed. I'm dreading the loaner!

Anyone had any experiences with Conwy LR? '09 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto for the Mrs

Searching for a nice E63 AMG or S8 V10 to replace my "wonky" TDV8

Doc, when I test drove a aTDV8 last week with only 7500 miles on it I felt that problem, salesman in the car pretended he felt and heard nothing (slimey fecking tw@t).

Instead of crediting me with some intelligence and appreciating the fact I have owned and driven many Range Rovers to compare it too, he prefered to call me a liar basically. C0ck. Discovery 4 HSE

NO Dealers give out decent cars for loaners, its uneconomical for them to use big expensive cars so they get ultra small cheap tin boxes that they keep for 6 months or 6000 miles only.

My local dealer has a volvo partnership so sometimes I get an S40, a god forbidden piece of SH**. Discovery 4 HSE

Doc, I sincerely hope the car can be fixed and you'll have no more problems, however, remember you have a certain number of days to hand the car back and get a refund.

I know you probably don't really want to go through that hassle but just keep it in mind. Discovery 4 HSE

A few weeks ago, I booked SWMBOs car (Audi RS4) in for a routine service at the 'local' (60 miles away) Audi dealer.

On the morning of the service, a nice old chap arrived at our door to collect the wifes' car and he left behind a brand new Audi S4 V6 Supercharged with 600 miles on the clock. He returned at the end of the day with our car and took the S4 back.

There was one small issue that they couldn't resolve on the day so they arranged to get the car back to the garage yesterday. SWMBO therefore took the opportunity to take her car to the big city lights for some shopping with her pal. When she dropped her car off at the Audi dealers, she was offered a lift into town (to M&S of course). At the end of the shopping she called the Audi dealer to see if they could get a lift back for the car. No-one was available so the garage organised a Taxi to collect them FOC!!! Before she took her car away, a large bouquet of flowers was presented to her for HER trouble in bringing her car back to the dealer!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

No, I haven't been drinking........ Read that and weep Mr Land Rover Rolling Eyes The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

That's Audi 'RS' service. Not so sure it would be the same if I had an Audi A3 1.8i........ Whistle

IMHO it should be the same with the FFRR. If someone takes an ageing 5-owner FL1 to a dealer for service and gets a Nissan Micra as a courtesy car, am I being snobby to think that the first service for my FFRR TDV8 deserves something better? The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile
