Thats my point Reformed.

For that price id rather stick a little bit more in and get the Faultmate Smile

I think for the minute i'll possibly save a bit and get the IDS clones with the multi manufacturer licences and then use the money from that to save up for a Faultmat, then save up for the MV licence Smile

So far, you have asked all the right questions, taken everything into account, i and others have said and been dead straight up about your thoughts, budgets and choice dilemmas. You are clearly a very sensible individual and although i have explained our system is not inexpensive, you do seem to appreciate the reason why.

You even took a very commendable and selfless moment to consider others and expressed some thought as not wishing to tread on their toes.

I have expressed that to date there is almost no one with MV capability on an FFRR, there is not even that many with SV systems for FFRR and for sure no one has yet experimented with our systems immence modification capabilities to discover just what our system may be able to do for L322 owners AFAIK.

So i know i won't be upsetting anyone in telling you that i have decided to treat your case and needs as being totatally unique and somewhat worthy of special attention and discount.

PM me your E-mail address kingpleb and i will provide you with some very interesting custom options i am sure you will find to your liking. 2003 4.4 HSE

IDS is now SDD. You subscribe through TOPIx and an annual subscription is around £750. This gives you access to all the patches, updates, calibration files (for vehicle software updates) and as-built data (the exact as-built specification as a vehicle rolls off the production line). Be warned though - you need access to a good broadband connection as these updates and files take an age to download.

Recently, SDD has had to drop the necessity to use just the red Rotunda VCM (thanks to EU rulings) and you can use a much cheaper J2534 like the Mongoose ( http://www.drewtech.com/technician/products/mongoosejaguar.html ). This is what most independents are using, and indeed Land Rover will offer full support for it.

SDD is slow, but it is reliable despite what people say. With the TOPIx subscription you get full downloads and help from Land Rover First Option, and even JLR SDD Support if needed.

This forum may be worth a read as well. ( http://www.garageforum.co.uk/forum/134-land-rover.html )

wslr,
I want to purchase the subscription but I do not have the mongoose cable (or similar). Can you perform the updates to your FF with the OBDII wifi connection?
