In a quandary, Vogue or Vogue SE??

Right,

I'm starting to look at cars seriously now and I seem to be faced with the issue as follows:

I can get an 07 or maybe a 57 plate Vogue with low miles (sub 20,000 miles) for about £37-£39K

or;

I can get a Vogue SE on an 07 plate with more miles (30-40K) for the same money.

I'd like a younger lower miles car but can't help thinking that if I don't get a Vogue SE I'll always be wondering if I could have had the rear seat DVD and air cooled seats etc.

We're driving to France for a ski holiday in January and it would be very cool to be able to watch DVD's while the wife drives!

What makes it worse is that I found a Stornoway Grey/Jet leather/grand black wood and FACTORY privacy glass with 17,000 miles for £37K. (ALL my ideal spec!) Trouble is its a Vogue, not a Vogue SE. Discovery 4 HSE

Bide your time and look for a Vogue SE as you will regret it if you dont!

It all depends on how important the extras in the Vogue SE are to you vs the mileage. If your heart is set on buying a Vogue SE, then it may be best to wait for the right Vogue SE.

How many miles you looking to do? If it's heaps, a small difference (20 vs 40) may not equate to much when you come to sell it on. I would say the same applies if your mileage is really low like mine (have done 500 miles in the last month).

Either way, best of luck with the search Smile

Other than cooled seats and RSE, is there anything else on the SE that I should know about? Discovery 4 HSE

Vogue SE extras are:

Full windsor perforated Leather seat heated and cooled front, heated rear
Ski bag
12c piece burr wood set
Bright sill plates
Rear Screen entertainment
Electrochromatic exterior mirrors
Bixenon adaptive headlights
TPMS
20" 7 spoke wheels

Of the above options, the only ones I would not have bought as options in their own right would be 12 pc wood set. Every other option I use or asign value to and don't regret picking an SE. They also seem better value on a used car as the increment is not so great compared with new. 2018 Range Rover Autobiography

Those are the main draw cards besides adaptive headlights.

If worse comes to worst, you could always buy an iphone/ipod touch/PSP Laughing bought the missues a USB car charger for a pound.

Rear screens became an option, even on the SE, at some point.

Mick, Yes, mostly. Saw that one on Autotrader, black will NEVER look clean where I live!

Have spied a few silver examples that look nice, have spoken to the dealers and they are coming back to me. Seems that 07 plate Vogue SE's don't seem to have the remote park heating. As stated above, even the RSE was dropped for a while. Weird.

It somehow feels wrong to go for a car that has less toys than you already have. I plan to keep this car for 3 years so it needs to be right. Discovery 4 HSE

Take your time and find the one you want....

Of course you must factor costs into the equation, but if you really really want a SE, wait for the right one.
I waited nearly a year to find mine....

Adam

No mention of rear screens, just rear DVD player, or am I going blind?

I think its just a terminology difference. When I spoke to them he mentioned that this did have RSE and that briefly it was dropped by LR on the VSE. Discovery 4 HSE
