Maybe stating the obvious.. But you have turned them on haven't you ?

I'd had mine a few weeks before I realised I needed to turn the front ones on by the switch Embarassed Embarassed

switch on the dash, or select reverse first then the fronts will be activated. ... - .- -.

I just assumed when you select reverse the park distance control comes into play both front and back? Back works fine but no beeping happened when am object is close to fri t bumper?

you assumed correctly...if after selecting reverse you find the fronts are not sensing then there is a fault ..btw ,it would help if you could update your car profile.. ... - .- -.

Why is this.. can it be changed e.g. with a Faultmate or soem hidden (to me) menu, so they're always active below say 5 mph? Graham

Im sorry, but why would you want them on every time you slow to under 5mph??? I could think on nothing more irritating!!! (apart from my Mrs watching strictly!)

They get set off by every blade of grass within 10ft... Imagine driving in rush hour!!! OMG!!!

Why can't Land Rover make a set that work like they do on my Discovery 11? Excellent things & 5yrs older then my FF... Progression huh!!! Rolling with laughter

There's a few posts on here about front sensors not working. Is it all four?

Check the wiring but also brace yourself for a knackered channel on the PDC module (in the right rear of the luggage compartment bolted to the back of the fuse box) think they make the modules in the dark.

Um. Fair points... I've got them on the Audi and they just seem to work, I've never switched them on (or off) and never had a problem in traffic or whatever. It's maybe a question of their sensitivity / proximity of the object being sensed...

Whatever. Graham

i had them in my VW Touareg and they were always on but it didn't seem to bother me, living in the sticks they don't beep much... Laughing

with regards to your front sensors, i would check them first before you looking for wiring issues.

if you activate them, and then put your ear on each one in turn, you will hear them ticking if they are working. obviously one that doesn't tick is broken.

they are a fairly easy fit, pop up on ebay quite often or one of the big L/R spares places don't charge that much for them. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE
